What Is the Recovery Following Liposuction and Platysmaplasty?
Dr. Dabbah performs liposuction and platysmaplasty in an outpatient setting. You’ll wake up from anesthesia in the recovery room with bandages and may leave with a friend or family member once you’re alert. Most patients feel some tightness of the neck and may be sore but have little pain. After your procedure, Dr. Dabbah will provide medication if necessary. You’ll likely notice an immediate improvement, though there will be swelling and minimal bruising.
As with a neck lift, patients who have had liposuction and plastysmaplasty should avoid turning their heads or craning their necks. Consequently, it will be approximately two weeks before you can drive.
